Back Home and Then on the East Coast

After we got home from Japan, we spent three weeks in California at Stephen's parents' house.

Kayla and Ryan really missed their grandparents and their cousins. We spent most of our days at the park in the wonderful non-humid California weather.

I got to see her sister give birth to her son. It was amazing to watch a baby come into the world from the other angle.

Stephen and I got to spend our 1st night away from the kids in Monterey for our friend's wedding. We hadn't been alone for 7 months, and it was awkward. We didn't even know what to do with one another.

We then went to the East coast to spend time with Kayla and Ryan's 3 great-grandparents. Even though the kids only see them once/twice a year, they still remember who they are. We have only been here for a week and we already drove through 3 states.

We got to go to a wedding in Rohobeth, DE. We spent 4 nights there near the beach. There never has been a wedding that had so many functions/affairs to attend (dinner party, beach party, bonfire party, wedding party, brunch party). The wedding itself was unbelievable and romantic because it overlooked the ocean the whole time.

We have to admit we are getting worn out from this traveling. We have another month to cover a few more states and cities. We must trek on because we want to see more of our families and friends.
